Preparation for treatments
No Waxing
Do not wax in the 4 weeks leading up to your appointment as pigment is required in the hair follicle for the laser to identify the hair and treatment to be effective.
Avoid direct sunlight
Allow 4 weeks prior to your treatment if you have had direct sun exposure. (Any kind of tanning or active sunbathing, with or without SPF). Allow 2 weeks prior to your treatment if you have had incidental sun exposure (stayed in the shade for the majority of the time during sunny periods, with or without SPF on).
Shave the areas
Shave the treatment area the night before your appointment to ensure we can have access to the areas of treatment for best results.
Avoid using topical creams
Avoid using topical creams, moisturisers, body oils, colognes or perfumes to the area being treated 24 hours prior to treatment. Ensure all fake tan is removed and there is no residual fake tan present on the skin 24 hours before your treatment.

Aftercare for treatments
Post care
There may be some mild heat and redness in areas that have been treated. Soothe any redness and sensitivity with the cream provided at our clinic Laser Aid. This can be applied liberally for 3-5 days or until the skin has returned to its pre-treatment state.
Skincare
Use the scrubs and creams recommended 5 days post-treatment to ensure the hair is encouraged to shed from the follicle and aid in the treatment of ingrown hairs.
Things to avoid
For 24 hours post-treatment, avoid shaving, waxing, or plucking hair, exfoliation, excessive sweating, swimming or saunas, very hot showers, and tight restrictive clothing. Please try to avoid wearing tight clothing for up to 24 hours to give your skin extra room to breathe.
Avoid direct sunlight
Avoid exposing the area to direct sunlight for a minimum 2 - 4 weeks after your treatment and always use the creams recommended by our clinic and a 50+ sunscreen SPF to protect the skin and maintain results.
